Florida Senators Call for Review of Park Closures
WASHINGTON, DC – In a letter to U.S. Department of Interior Secretary Ken Salazar, Florida’s bi-partisan U.S. Senators Bill Nelson and Marco Rubio urge the National Park Service to reconsider the proposed General Management Plan (GMP) for Biscayne National Park and to work cooperatively with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) to maintain public access for anglers and boaters. The National Park Service signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the FWC in 2007 that specifically stated they would provide for recreational and commercial fishing opportunities for the angling public by seeking the least restrictive management actions necessary.
Fishing Is Simple When You Follow These Great Tips!
If you are fishing for sport and are not planning to eat the fish you catch, use the catch and release method. To do this, you just need to remove the hook from any fish you catch, then return it to the water. When you practice catch & release, you will not deplete the number of fish available for future fishing opportunities.
If you venture out onto the water at night, you will invariably need a different fishing approach than if it were broad daylight. Night fishing can be a fun, exciting, and rewarding adventure. Use heavy tackle when trying to catch small-mouthed bass, so you can have a good feel for the location of the lure in the water. You can use lures such as plastic worms or pork rinds are good choices when you are night fishing. Also, consider using single lures to minimize the possibility of tangles.
You should check the weather in the area before leaving for a trip so you know it will be a safe trip. Also, take a weather radio with you so that you can informed of conditions.
When using artificial bait, change up your colors occasionally. This advice can be beneficial when you’ve been out on the water a long time and have had not luck getting any fish to bite. When you add in new bait fish can at times find it a bit intriguing and become lured by the new colors at the top of the water.
Fishing is easy to take up but offers a lifetime of learning opportunities. On the basest level, fishing is pretty easy. You just need to put some effort into learning. The best way to learn is just to get out on the water and try to catch some fish; you might even catch your dinner. You will be very happy because your reward feels good and tastes great.

Travel Safely And Comfortably With These Ideas
Make sure that the packing list for your next trip include clothespins. They have several uses, and since they are small they take up hardly any room.
If your travel time is a long one, make sure to get up at least once an hour to stretch your legs, even if it means taking an unnecessary trip to the bathroom. Sitting for too long reduces blood flow and can lead to blood clots.
When traveling in strange cities, be alert for criminals posing as police officers or other government officials. Do not ever give someone your passport; they may steal it. If you are asked to go to an office with them, walk. Never get into a car with a strange local.
If you wear glasses, be sure to pack a spare pair in your suitcase. If you happen to loose your contacts, or glasses, then you will at least have your backup pair with you. Put them in your luggage in case your purse or carry on bags were lost or got stolen.
You should have a map of the area in which you are camping or hiking, carry them along. You should also buy a GPS in case you accidentally get lost.

Helpful Fishing Tips For The New Fisherman
It is crucial to purchase a fishing license before you go fishing. In the USA, there is a different license in each state. You may also choose a day-long or even year-long license.
For those looking to catch small-mouth bass, rocky and rough structures are a good spot to look. Bass like these kinds of areas. Shallow water in springtime or fall provides warmth, and these fish tend to congregate in these areas.
If you want to expedite your fishing success, consider using fish finders. Fish finders scan the water to tell you how far away you are from fish.
Being still and quiet is very important. Loud noise will frighten fish away from your area, and you will find that is nearly impossible to catch anything. This can be anything loud including loud talking. You should also avoid loud vehicles or tackle boxes and the fish will approach you.
No matter how experienced a fisherman you are, it is always important to fish with optimism and confidence. While frustration is common, having a bad attitude will ruin your entire trip. Don’t get frustrated with yourself if you have not gotten a fish to bite.
Always be respectful of the outdoors and its native wildlife, when you are fishing. Understand that nature belongs to no one and everyone. Try to avoid ruining nature.
Instead of open water, try fishing near structures in the water, such as fallen trees, river banks, and anything else that might serve as shelter to many types of fish. It is common for fish to stay close to such structures, and staying close to them can help you catch a greater amount of fish. The monster large mouth bass you are looking for might live near the bank.

There is a 12-inch minimum length limit for largemouth bass at Wolf and Broad Lakes and a daily creel limit of five fish per angler.

Always be kind, and tip your bell waiter and housekeeper daily. This will make your stay much more pleasant. A good rule of thumb is $1 per bag/luggage and about $2-5 a day for housekeeping. Tipping will show your appreciation for their work, and will help you maintain a good relationship with hotel staff.
Make your flight as comfortable as possible by booking the seat of your choice on the plane. Frequently, airlines will allow you to select your seat preference for your flight, though occasionally it is not an option. Once your flight is booked, keep an eye on your booking site to take advantage of this option when it becomes available. By doing this, you will not be stuck with whichever seats are available.
With these, you can link your hotel TV and computer together. This way, you can enjoy streaming video, saved media files, and DVDs for free instead of relying on pricey hotel entertainment services.
Remember that hotels house many people. When in your hotel room, be considerate of guests next-door and do not make tons of loud noise or slam your doors. Remember that because travelers might be jet-lagged or otherwise suffering from erratic sleep schedules, quiet will be appreciated even at mid-day. Tiptoeing is unnecessary, but they’d appreciate you keeping it down.
When planning your travel wardrobe, choose pieces that can be used more than once. You can wear different clothes with the same shoes or coats. Using an item multiple times for different outfits can cut down on the number of different pieces you need to pack.
